GRUSHA DHAWAN

I grew up in Bombay. Not the toddler-to-teenager kind of growing up, but a more wholesome kind. I had many firsts in Bombay; my first job, my first tryst with Old Monk, followed by my first night of drunk adventures, my first of many heartbreaks, my first time saying kanda instead of onion, and my first taste of boundless freedom. My time in Bombay is captured in these words on the floor of The Bombay Canteen, and they remind me of what an incredible journey it has been. Many who visit The Bombay Canteen have photographed these words and shared them on their social media, which confirms my belief that Bombay is a mischievous city with many love affairs.
